Data from RAJAR

(Q1a)
Identify data-

During 2011 and 2015 the use of smartphones and tablets had increased by 10% for all adults whereas for people aged between 15 and 24 the increase was a lot more drastic as it increased by 16% and between 2016 and 2020 the increase for 15 to 24 year olds was a lot more subtle as it only increased by a maximum of 5% and this is the same for all adults as the highest change in percentage was in 2018 and 2019 and that was 6%.

(Q1b)
Explain data-
As you can see smartphone usage was quiet low for all categories we can assume this was because smartphones and tablets were quiet new and also quiet expensive which meant less people could afford them and obviously due technology getting cheaper more people were able to gain access to the new types of technology and this allowed more people to access live radio. As you can see after 2015 the graph starts to decrease meaning less people were listening to live radio and I can only assume that the decreased was caused due to streaming music and apps such as Spotify started to become popular but also due to technology it is a lot easier to listen to live radio as finding a radio signal is a lot easier now than it was 10 years ago
